Five Days of Christmas Films | It's a Wonderful Life (1946)

It's a Wonderful Life is a weird Christmas film. I mean sure, the film starts and ends on Christmas Eve, but in all its an extremely dark film. It could be placed at any time of year and still be the same thing; a film following the trials and tribulations of a suicidal George Bailey (James Stewart).

Five Days of Christmas Films | How The Grinch Stole Christmas (2000)

Much to my Dad's behest, Jim Carrey is one of my favourite actors. Naturally, The Grinch became a staple film around Christmas time from when I was four onwards. You'd think that this would have been the film that introduced me to Carrey, but no. I distinctly remember a nabbing my parents VHS tape of a certain little film called The Mask...

Five Days of Christmas Films | Elf (2003)

There hasn't been a Christmas where I haven't watched Elf since it was released. It's become a staple movie not only within my household, but every time we'd have a movie day from primary school all the way up to college. It's one of those films that is constantly referenced and quoted around the world.

Five Days of Christmas Films | When Harry Met Sally (1989)

Recently I've created a few traditions for myself around the week before Christmas. Whether it's watch The X-Files Christmas episode ('How The Ghosts Stole Christmas') or pumping out the holiday tunes; I use anything and everything to accentuate my already high octane excitement for Christmas.

This year, I seem to be more excited than ever. Whether it's from buying my own presents for family and wrapping them (badly) myself, or I can't wait to see everyone get together over Christmas Day and Boxing Day, I haven't been this excited since I was a kid. Therefore, the week before Christmas seems to be going incredibly slow for me this year. Luckily I've got some overtime at work this week to make it go quicker, but other than that I am slowly dying from excitement.
