I watch a lot of television. I mean a lot. I'm also plagued with a short attention span, so I usually end up watching ten or more shows at the same time. Add that to the fact that a majority of the shows I watch aren't even current television shows - I like to think I'm catching up on culture I've missed - I end up watching a massive array of different decades of television.
That being said, I seem to be watching five specific shows right now with undivided attention, and I thought I'd share them with you lovely people. Here's five shows I'm currently binge-watching, from least binge-watched to most binge-watched. All of which (excluding number one) are all shows that are currently airing, which is rare for me.
Much to my brother's behest, I still haven't finished season two. But boy, let me tell you. When this whole concept of a prequel show for Saul Goodman was announced...I lost it. Not only did it fill a Breaking Bad void in my heart, but Saul is my favourite character on the show. For my favourite character to have his own goddamn show, well. It's a miracle. And it's the reason I caved in subscribing to Netflix.
I'm only at the beginning of season two at the moment, but it just keeps getting better and better. I love the feel, the tone, the aesthetic, the editing, everything. It's my type of show. And my brother will not shut up about some characters returning in the coming episodes, so I really need to get back into a routine of watching it again.

'Vinyl' was a show that I had mixed feelings about. Not that I thought I was going to hate it, but I wasn't sure if it was going to live up to the hype that was surrounding it in production. Having Martin Scorsese, Terence Winter and Mick Jagger involved already establishes that it's going to be legendary, though that still wasn't doing it for me.
It wasn't until I sat down transfixed with the two hour premiere and the following two episodes that all my doubts vanished. This show, to me, is the best on television at the moment. It's got a stellar cast, classic tunes, amazing set design and just the feel of it alone screams 'masterpiece'. I love everything about it and can't stop watching it.
I'm also infatuated with Bobby Cannavale now which can't be helped. How could you not be?

I'm known as someone who is ultimatley stuck in the 1990s. Therefore, it's assumed that the 90s is my favourite decade. Whilst that may be true, there is another decade that has a strong grip on my out-of-touch heart - the 80s.
And what better show for me to watch than The Goldbergs. The annoying thing though is that it's only me and my Mum that watch it. No one else I know has ever heard of it, let alone seen it, so it's become a special thing between the Madre and I. So much so that we have come to the conclusion that she is the real-life Beverly, snuggles and all.
The Goldbergs is a show that I've been watching ever since the first episode aired, and I've loved every single episode since. There hasn't been a bad one, and I feel like there never will be.

Here's another show I've been binge-watching courtesy of my brother. It was actually me that started watching it when it started airing on E4, but I totally forgot about it. Cue me getting Netflix and my brother hijacking it, in which he became obsessed with a little show called Brooklyn Nine Nine.
After him not shutting up about it and continuously telling me that Rosa Diaz reminded him of me on the show, I started watching it too. I haven't watched a show so fast in my life. Or related to a character so fast either, for that matter. We even share an eyebrow scar.

Brooklyn Nine Nine is one of those shows that hits the balance of having a large cast and giving each actor/actress equal time on screen. Every character in the 99 is explored throughout the three seasons so far, and each of them are hilarious in their own ways. Me and my brother have so many in-jokes from this show now, and I still can't get enough of it.

In hindsight, Full House being my most binge-watched show at the moment is a curveball. Like I said at the start of this feature, I like to be caught up with culture. I knew that Full House was a huge show back in the late 80s and 90s in America (and probably the UK? I'm not sure), and Fuller House had just been announced when I looked into it more.
I vaguely knew about it when I was a kid from being a huge fan of Mary-Kate and Ashley - especially in It Takes Two and Two of a Kind, literally my childhood film and television show - and I'm sure I'd seen a couple episodes here and there. Fuller House then eventually got put on Netflix, but I'd never seen the original series so here I am in the middle of season three only after a month of watching it.
Granted, it's not the best television show out there. It's a little cheesy at times with questionable acting, but I've found when I've had a particularly down day, knowing that I'll have an evening watching four or so episodes of Full House makes me so happy. It's just a happy, fun show with a lot of heart. When something goes wrong, it's nearly almost resolved if it's not a two-part episode. It's the sort of show that could do with coming back in this current climate.
To be honest, I could have done with this show when I was a kid. It's such a good show for kids to learn from, whether that be from the girls or the guys, the trials and tribulations of family and life are the focal point of the show, along with the goal to make you laugh. And to swoon in my case with John Stamos aka Jesse Katsopolis. Have mercy.
